Maren Grainger-Monsen is a physician and a filmmaker. She is Filmmaker in Residence and Director of the Program in Bioethics and Film at the Stanford University Center for Biomedical Ethics. Her films have been broadcast on national PBS, including the POV series, and have been used in shaping health policy and medical education, they include: Where the Highway Ends, The Vanishing Line, Worlds Apart and Hold Your Breath. She is currently producing The Revolutionary Optimist with Nicole Newnham.
