Because the book captures a vision that is original, intelligent, broad in scope, and passionate in its interpretation of war, Nomadic Pictures has optioned the book and will turn it into a feature-length documentary film (90-120 minutes). Hedges’ examination of war integrates a breadth of knowledge that is unique and insightful in the way it deconstructs and demystifies war. He’s incorporated philosophy, theology, psychology, sociology, history, the arts, and very personal experience to produce a thought-provoking meditation on war that is gritty, powerful, and unforgettable.
