DFP Films Premiere at SXSW

Peter Lom's Letters to the PresidentTwo DFP funded films will screen at the upcoming SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas. Petr Lom’s Letters to the President will have it’s North American Premiere at the fest. It is about one of the most controversial figures of our time, President Ahmadinejad of Iran. The film takes as its narrative thread the letters that supposedly ten million Iranians have written to the President.

World Premiering at SXSW is Mai Iskander’s Garbage Dreams. The film has been four years in the making and follows the stories of three young men born into the trash trade and growing up in the world’s largest garbage village, a ghetto located on the outskirts of Cairo.
