Peter Galison

is a Harvard University professor and winner of a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowship. Specializing in moral-political debates in science, his film on the H-bomb was broadcast by the History Channel. SECRECY, co-directed by Robb Moss was awarded a grant from DFP in 2005.

' THE SAME RIVER TWICE premiered at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for a 2004 Independent Spirit award. Moss has taught filmmaking at Harvard for the past twenty years, and with his co-director Galison, received a grant award from DFP in 2005 for SECRECY.

World Premiere: Screening in the U.S. Documentary Film Competition

Since 9/11 we live in a world where the production of secret knowledge dwarfs the production of open knowledge. Secrecy is a feature documentary about the vast, invisible world of government secrecy. By filming people from the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, reporters, and individuals who have been marked by their contact with the national security bureaucracy, the film probes secrecy`s relationship to fear and executive power.
